Conference Accommodation
Accommodation for the conference will be available at four locations:
- the conference centre St Joseph’s (modern rooms with ensuites),
- Mt St Benedict’s, Pennant Hills, and
- Marymount, Castle Hill, (single rooms with shared bathrooms) and
- the Crowne Plaza (4 star hotel, situated near the conference centre).
Accommodation/housing is not included in the Congress Fee. Please go direct to the accommodation venues for all bookings. Please state that you are registered for Societas Congress.
Accommodation will be readily available at all venues both before and after the conference. The local committee is planning some light activities for those who arrive early such as a visit to a local zoo to see Australian animals (including some sleepy koalas).
If you wish to book nights before or after the Congress please check with venue, but you may wish to stay closer to Sydney during these days.

Other Accomodation
There is a broad range of accommodation in Sydney for pre- and post- congress stays. The local organising committee has identified the following low-cost accommodations at various religious institutes near the centre of Sydney:
- Mary MacKillop Place at North Sydney,
- The Centre at Randwick, and
- The Good Samaritan Congregational Centre at Glebe
– all these venues currently (January, 2009) have spaces in the week before the Conference.
