Welcome to Australia, the Great Southern Land of the Holy Spirit (so named by the Spanish), and the dazzling city of Sydney.
It is a great pleasure for the local national organising committee to welcome you to the XXII Congress of Societas Liturgica. It will be the first time the Societas Congress has been held in Australia and indeed the southern hemisphere.
Pre-Congress Wildlife Park Excursion
The local committee has organised a bus and group entry to Featherdale Wildlife Park on Monday 10 August.

Participants pay for the bus and entry costs (AU$30). The bus will depart at 10.30am on Monday morning, returning in time for Conference registration. Please register for the trip online or at any of the following 3 bus pick up points no later than Sunday evening:

Mount St Benedict’s Centre, Pennant Hills

The Societas Congress
The congress opens on Monday 10 August 2009 and closes on Saturday 15 August 2009, the feast of the Assumption. The theme of the congress is The Liturgical Year: the Gospel encountering our time. For the latest news on the Congress, please see the Society's Newsletter No 34.
