Train

If coming by train, please plan to come to Cardiff Station. This is the most convenient station to the road to Kurri Kurri. The only exception is if you are coming on the Brisbane train, where you will want to get off at Maitland.

The best trains from Sydney are the 12:15pm and the 1:15pm trains from Central Station. A connecting train from Sydney Airport leaves the airport at 11:50am and at 12:50pm respectively.

Let us know which train you plan to arrive on and we will arrange to pick you up at either Cardiff or Maitland Stations.

Car

From Sydney

Take the M1 north and then take the M15 Hunter Expressway exit towards Kurri Kurri and Singleton. Then take the Main Road, Kurri Kurri exit and, at the top of the ramp, turn left towards Kurri Kurri. Take the 2nd right (Heddon Street) and stay on this through the roundabout when it becomes McLeod Road. After going over the expressway, turn right at the T intersection. Follow this into Kurri Kurri TAFE and the Hunter Valley Hotel Academy is the first main building on the left with a car park immediately before the building.

From the Upper Hunter and beyond

Join the M15 Hunter Expressway south-east of Singleton. Take the Main Road, Kurri Kurri exit and turn right at the top of the ramp. Then follow the rest of the instructions above.

From the North Coast

From the Pacific Highway, turn right after going over the bridge at Hexham. Stay on the A1 taking the John Renshaw Drive exit. Do not turn towards the M1 but remain on John Renshaw Drive (B68). Do not exit for the Hunter Expressway, but stay on B68 into Kurri Kurri. Go through the lights and roundabout at Lang Street and take the roundabout to the right at Northcote Street. At the next roundabout, turn left onto McLeod Road and follow the above instructions into the TAFE.

Convivium

Please bring a bottle of local wine or beer to share during convivium.
